Dr. Sunil Gupte has more than 30 years of rich experience in the Indian healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
He advises hospitals in thinking about their growth strategy and improving their processes and operating efficiency. He has been a visiting doctor to other hospitals and continues to practice medicine part-time.
Earlier, Dr. Gupte served as an executive director and member of board of directors of Merck for close to a decade. Prior to that he has held several positions such as heading the medical department, sales and marketing, business development and human resource management. Dr. Gupte’s experience includes launching and successfully marketing several speciality and superspeciality group of products, launching the consumer healthcare business, acquisition of brands such as “Livogen” (from GSK) and “Vent” (from Kopran). He is also well versed with using professional international systems to adapt to Indian market conditions. Dr. Gupte has played an active role in the industry as member of the executive committee of the OPPI as well as through his interactions with government institutions such as DCGI and Commerce & Finance ministry.
He studied medicine at Seth G. S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital , obtaining his MBBS as well as M. D. in Internal Medicine. He has also undergone several executive training programs at universities such as Michigan, Kellogg, London Business School, HKUST and Koblenz (Germany). |

Prakash Bhat has more than 25 years of rich experience in finance and accounting and related areas such as compliance, taxation, ERP implementation, treasury management, budgeting, cost and risk management, merger / divestment of brand / business.
He was CFO and finance director with Wyeth in India. He was also part of management committee and member of the board of directors. In addition, he has handled multiple strategic business responsibilities such as mergers. He led the finance team in creating the post-merger finance organization, establishing policies and procedures, during the mergers of Cyanamid and Geoffrey Manners into Wyeth. He was also part of the core team responsible for divestment of Wyeth’s API business. His contributions were recognized by Wyeth USA and he was awarded the president’s excellence award. He was also an active member of OPPI, as Vice Chairman of Finance and Administration committee and a member of DPCO and taxation committee, representing Wyeth India.
Prior to Wyeth, he worked for two years in the audit function of AF Ferguson (now Deloitte).
Prakash is a chartered accountant by qualification. He has also attended several leadership development programmes within Wyeth and leading business schools in India. |

Anshuman Biyani has diverse experiences in areas such as management consulting (The Boston Consulting Group-BCG), private equity (HSBC) and chemicals manufacturing (Nocil). At BCG, he advised companies on topics ranging from corporate strategy (Business strategy, M&A, Alliance development and management) to operations (lean manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing). His experience spans several industry verticals such as pharmaceuticals, automobiles, construction materials, consumer durables, telecommunications and financial services.
Prior to joining BCG, Anshuman worked with HSBC Private Equity where he was a member of the investment team and analyzed investment opportunities in various sectors ranging from pharmaceuticals to food processing in India. Before HSBC, he worked as a production officer at the high density polyethylene plant of Nocil Petrochemicals in India.
Anshuman is a graduate in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a post-graduate in management from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. |

Jyoti Kedia has worked on corporate restructuring assignments including amalgamations, demergers and group consolidations for several leading Indian corporates. She brings end to end execution capabilities with expertise in conceptualization of restructuring schemes, evaluation of options envisaged from a tax and regulatory perspective including stamp duty, implementation and compliance with statutory requirements.
Jyoti has worked with organizations like RSM Advisory Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is a post-graduate in commerce and a qualified chartered accountant. |

Dr. Milind Biyani has more than 30 years of rich experience in driving innovations in pharmaceutical formulations. He has worked with both global and Indian pharmaceutical companies such as Merck, Hoechst, Lupin, Zydus Cadila, FDC, Alkem, Shasun, Ajanta Pharma, Raptakos Brett, Plethico, Inga Labs.
Some of the well known product developments he has been involved in or driven include Carofit, Vitamin B6, Electral, Gatifloxacin, Emflam, Nimesulide OD, Electrobion, Subsyde, Neurobion and Ruffage. He also holds patents for some of these. Besides, he has been instrumental in filing ANDAs for drugs such as Ibuprofen, Carvedilol, Cetirizine, Ranitidine, Nizatidine and Clopidogrel in his organizations in the past.
Dr. Biyani holds a PhD in pharmaceutical technology from UDCT, Mumbai and prior to that completed his M.Pharm from Punjab University and B. Pharm from UDCT. |

Sowmya Velayudham is a biotechnologist with rich academic and industrial experience in varied areas of biopharmaceutical development, manufacturing and commercialization. She worked with the biologics division at Dr.Reddy's Laboratories, where she played an integral role in designing the division's business strategy. In her role as technical alliance manager, she has evaluated (in technical and financial aspects) various nascent technologies, negotiated multiple agreements and has effectively interfaced the technical and business dimensions of biopharmaceuticals. She also led the product strategy team that was involved in portfolio planning, marketing communications and product life cycle management for biosimilars.
Prior to Dr.Reddy's, Sowmya was a researcher at the Hershey Medical College, US and has interned at various institutes such as St.Jude's Children's Cancer Hospital, Memphis, The National Center for Biological Sciences, Bangalore and at Center for Cellular & Molecular Biology, Hyderabad.
Sowmya has a B.Tech, in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai, and an MS in Immunology from the Pennsylvania State University, US. She also completed her MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. |

She holds several distinctions such as "The Ann Newman Fellow" for outstanding performance in clinical cardiology at The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia; "The J Fisher Award" for excellence in teaching at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
She earned her MBBS from Seth GS Medical College, Mumbai with distinctions (Honors) in all twelve subjects with a first rank in University. She holds a diploma in ‘Child Health’ awarded by the College of Physicians and Surgeons in India.
